Hey you guys, will a 1971 maverick engine (170) and transmission fit into a 1973 maverick?? Not sure what size is in the '73 just know it is a 6 cyl. what would i have to swap out if so? Thanks appreciate all the help

 

yup, it'll swap out uses the same stuff as 200's

looks like a 76 or 77, not a 73..... but yeah, if the cowls are good then go for it

 

whats up frank what is cowl, do you have any pics, what are signs of a bad cowl, maybe rust he told me it was a 73 but I do not know, if it is a 76 or 77 will my engine still fit and will I still be able to do a bumper swap, what would I need if so would I need my fenders off of my car or could I use the fenders that are on the car sorry for the confussion, long day

I have no idea what you were trying to say, but the engine will swap into any '70-'77 Maverick.

 

if you post your VIN, we can decifer what year your car is...or you can do a search on here and find posts where you can decode ity yourself

 

yes you can still do a small bumper conversion

 

Yes it is worth $400....even if it turns out to be a parts car.
