    hi my name is michael and i am here because i just bought a 1970 maverick and need help on repair panels and gas tanks any help would be great is there a catolog i can order like the mustangs have or do you have to hunt and find parts

    Welcome! The drop in gas tank is a tough find it is unique to the Maverick and was only used on the 70 models. Starting in 1971 the tank was under the trunk floor and retained with straps.

    If I had a '70 that needed a tank, I'd probably just put a fuel cell in it.

    thankyou for welcoming me and i am thinking i am going to put a fuel cell in for now maybe i will luck up and find one one day how about sheet metal for the trunk area any ideas out there

    I may be getting rid of my drop in 70 tank soon. I'm fitting up a 16 gallon Jaz fuel cell but I can't get rid of it until I'm absolutly finished installing the cell.

    someone asked were i live in wrightsville ga but i am from watonga ok well i have found a guy here were i live in ga that has 8 maverick's and his son is my boss he said i can get some parts from him so i am in luck thanks for all the help thoe
