I want the front discs, my headers installed with basic dual exhaust, a GM 1 wire alternator and my Edelbrock carb on an intake on my engine.

I have the headers and the carb and nothing else. I think I could do the brakes myself in the yard. I want a mechanic to do the rest to prevent me from hurting myself or the car otherwise I will surely lose a finger tip. Besides, I hear headers are a b**ch to install and I'd rather not deal with it.

I figure the intake will be around $150 and the simple exhaust(two mufflers and some tubing) will be $200 and the GM 1 wire will be maybe $50 at a salvage yard. The front disc set up seems to vary in cost so that's a variable. I'll say $150.

That leaves $350 open for labor and misc.

I got my fron disc from a salvage yard for 35$ and then some new parts and it was easy to do

to install a 4 barrel carb and intake usually needs a fair amount of extras you will need. like gaskets, pulgs to plug coolant port holes, carb studs, vaccuum fittings, throttle cable bracket.

If you aren't in a hurry, you might find a deal on a good used intake on eBay. I gave $50 IIRC for mine, it's a older Offy. If you do buy a used one, make sure and look at the water ports and make sure they are not eaten up and pitted real bad. Like Brian said, you may need a few plugs, you should be able to use the vacume tee's off your old intake, as well as the heater nipple. Of course, new gaskets and a oil change afterward are required, too.

There are a total of zero Maverick or Comets in nearby yards. Trust me, I'd know. So I must buy the disc conversion here preferably or on Ebay as a last resort. I'd prefer to pass money to a fellow member. The last intake I bought came with gaskets and I reused the stuff off the old one to plug holes. I will not be installing it myself because I'm no mechanic apparently.
