My washer bottle looks like crap! Dryed blue stains every where. The screen is clogged up with dryed blue slime I decided to see if I could dissasemble it for cleaning. I managed to pop off the top with no problem , but I can't seem to get the pump out ot the bottle. I broke a piece off of the pump where the electric plugs in. I'm sure it will still work but its gonna bug me so I guess I'll be buying one of those sooner or later. Anyway does anyone know how to get the pump out of the bottle? The metal toothed ring is out already but the pump won't budge. Are these bottles available anywhere in case mine doesn't clean up? I believe they are the same as a Fairlane since they have a C9OZ part number. Anybody else run into this? Any cleaner recomended to remove the blue. Spray Nine didn't work. Thanks Guys ..... Bob

I used SPI's water-based paint prep (mainly alcohol/acetone mix) on my tank and it came out great. Super clean, but still showing the date code. Can't help you on the pump, I was afraid to ruin mine by trying...

I soaked mine in pb blaster then I turned it side to side while pulling it with pliers . Don`t worry if you brake the motor , they are cheap and most parts stores should have them in stock.

Well I just mooched a can of PB Blaster from our body shop. The can states that it may affect plastics. Are you guys sure this won't ruin the white plastic bottle? Thanks ... Bob

It seems odd to use a lubricant, penetrating oil to clean plastic but I'll give it a try this weekend. Thanks ....

Depends on if it's up your alley or not but this is how I solved that problem with mine. I could still whip one out in your choice of brushed aluminum or diamond plate if you wanted one. It'd run about $24 shipped to your door.

Thanks for the offer. They do look nice and the price is right but I would like to keep it looking stock under the hood as much as possible.

Aw heck, that's an easy one. It's a song called "In My Own Mind" by Lyle Lovett from the album "My Baby Don't Tolerate"

Actually it was easier than you would think - - -I GOOGLEed it. :rofl2:

Sgaugeguy the lubricant was just used for removing the washer pump , I would follow Raselkirks advice for cleaning the tank.

Jncastell Mav1970 is correct , I heard that line in a song a couple years ago and put it in my signature so I wouldn`t forget it .
