If someone gave you a K-code rear end housing it is worth $1000...are you sure it's a '65 housing? All Ford 9" have the same pinon off-set 2.5"

Here is a pic of the K-code housing I have in my Falcon. Notice the taperer axle tubes and drain plug.

Why not sell/trade the housing to a mustang guy and go with a large bearing housing? Might make a dollar or 2 for more parts
I Googled around on the pinion off set and found out it's closer to 15/16" to the right. Might wanna look around some more and not take my word on the off set.:slap:

Why don't you just put the thing in the Maverick as is?
It is only slightly wider than a Maverick housing. Direct bolt in.

Or sell it for a grand, then buy a 57-59 housing (same width, big bearing) for 200 bux, and pocket the 800... After bolting the 57-59 housing in your Mav as it is a direct bolt in too.

i run a 65 9" in my mav. its a currie houisng built for a 65 mustang not a rare k code one. with weld draglites 15x8 with a 4.5 off set with a 275/60-15 tire i had to roll the fender lips and push them out about a inch. when i had those wheels on the mav 8" diff the tires would rub on the inside of the wheel well.
i sugest run that diff as is or sell it for the big bucks if you can find a buyer and if you can find a 50s 9" if you can. i wouldnt sell it untill you get a replacement diff.
