metal line question

What is the metal line that runs along the firewall with the brake line?looks to be 5/16 diameter and ends at the passenger fender apron

On a 74 Mav if that makes a diff.

 

should be one size smaller than 5/16"

yup, im gonna use it on mine. and mavmike72 used it as a return when his car was EFI. just be sure the vent on top of the tank is slightly drilled out for the fuel to return because from the factory, they have a very very small pin-sized hole that isnt adequit

im doing mine in the spring and i think that's the only thing to watch out for really. the rest of it is pretty straight forward

If you use the 5/16 line you may not be able to regulate the pressure low enough if using anything other than the RED pump from Holley. I installed a 3/8 line on mine and drilled out the restriction in the vent, Using a BLUE pump i can only go down to about 5 psi. ( this is for my NITROUS Fuel return). Just some food for thought.

yeah, i dont think it applies here. but from i have read, 5/16" supply line will feed up to 350 hp. the size of the return line will be fine as it's not under the pressure likle the feed line is
