I am working on a Falcon 65 doing a V8 change over. The reason I signed up here is we all need all the information we can find. Our cars have the same engines and drive train as well as some of the other parts also along with the good and great information from others. We can learn and I have over the years and still am thirsting for more knolodge from who ever is out there. I am always thankful from them and possibly may help others also. this is why I came here and thank you for the opportunity to be helpful. Champion2211

    :Welcome: from Northeast Pennsylvania

My first car was a 65 Falcon. In fact, I was looking for a 65, to put my Cleveland in, when I found my Maverick.

Champion2211, Welcome to the forum. I have done a 6 to V8 swap many times on 60-65 Falcon. I have a webpage that might answer some of your questions in doing this swap. If you have any questions I will try and answer them. http://1bad6t.com/6cylto8swap.html My email link is at the bottom of the webpage.

I joined this place for the same reason as you and after meeting some of the members who were good to me and took me under their wing although I did not have a Maverick. I did end up buying a Maverick and I having just as much fun with it as I do my Falcon. ...again welcome to the board

Bad link may have been an honest mistake - I have pulled the posts related to it and that should end any fears about a joke virus - that should be the end of it.

    Welcome to the board.
    I've had a few Falcons: a '60 Futura, '61 2dr (6 to 8 swap), '63 Ranchero 260 3spd (I miss it), and a '64 Sedan Delivery (6 to 8 swap - miss it too). My Maverick satisfies the need for speed.

Having a Falcon from when they were new and along with the need for speed back then I had a 64 futura Convertible that turned in the low 13s in 64 that was a very fast stock car. It had a 4 speed on the floor and that was the type of car then that really attracted the girls and that was what it was all about. Since then I have had a ton of Falcons all with a 6 but now that I am a lot older we just try and enjoy our toys as much as possible. My son loved the comets and Mavericks as much as I did the Falcons. To you all thanks for the fine intro into this forum and I hope I can in some way help someone else with the knowlege that I have gotten over the years. champion2211:drive:
