Hey Dave Boyer. Hows the weather in bermuda or Bahama's where you are. How about some pis of rhe swaying trees on the beach and some beach bunnys too. that should get us all rarein to go.
Nice job, the car looks great! One question, though. The rear shot of your finished car....are you running a grabber spoiler with standard endcaps, or do I just need glasses?
He can't take any pictures with his camera because of all the humidity, it has caused the lens to fog up so bad that every picture is blurry, it happened to me too when i went to the Bahama's on my honeymoon...................................................................................... 700 posts- yippppppeee! I'M a sad little man!
Since your so interested, I could not go do to some health issues. And what does your post have to do with the pictures of this car? Why not just PM me?
Well Dave some of his pics contain sand and trees. I don't have sand here and that reminded me of your trip.Regarding the PM. I never thought of it and the last PM I sent. you never replied too anyways. Sorry
well, if you look in one of the pics, you will see 2 spoilers one is taller than the other. The one that is taller I made, the other is a stock grabber spoiler. I ran the high spoiler with stock grabber caps. Thanks for yalls support, just thoght I would share some progress. A little backroud info: It took me and my dad 2 & 1/2 years to get what you see done. We did everything with this car. everything from a 4 lug to 5 lug conversion disk/power brakes. complete int restoration, paint job, motor rebuild. Thats my stroy, whats yours......
That's really awesome, I wish I could have done something like that with my Dad. The only story I have of me, my Dad and Mavericks is, My Dad use to sneak out in my 74 Grabber (when he had lost his license due to a brain tumor) and he would drive around to all the wholesalers we dealt with and hang around and visit. I would show up for parts, and they would tell me that he just left driving his white car (his white car??).....Imagine, a 50 year old man driving a jacked up Maverick, with cragars, 2&1/2 inch exhaust with what looked like mufflers, with no drivers license....He got really pissed one day when I took the rotor out of the distributor, so it wouldn't run. Awesome work, Enjoy your car!!
Fantastic photo story--------great find and a great job. I'm glad you kept the side pipes, mine had Thrush Outsiders on it in 73.
Ok Dave, what's wrong with us 50 year olds drivin jacked up Mavericks or other cars???? We grow older, but we sometimes don't have to grow up.. The only some what normal cars I've ever had are my company cars... The last two were lowered with other mods.. Once a hotrodder, always a hotrodder.. Oh, and the work on the Maverick looks great! That is what this thread was about right???
Hey cenci the car is lookin good. stop by the firehouse and let me take a look. Be there tomorrow after about 5:00 pm.
