I've grounded myself until I get at least one of my cars running by spring. :drive:

Lol, I read the topic title, and expected something like this. It's still just as funny though.

    I feel your pain ...

Yup ... I get attached to old tools too ... still have a 25 year old Black and Decker electric drill that no longer has reverse... Why do I still keep it around? ... I have no idea ...

I won't buy any newer B&D stuff though ... it seems like their quality went away in recent years. I have killed far too much of their newer stuff ...

New B&D stuff is junk! The old B&D Industrial is what then turned in to DeWalt and are great tools. Now even some of the DeWalt stuff is junk. Milwaukee still makes good grinders. I have an old B&D electric 1/2" impact that has really served me well. I dread the day it dies.

Sorry for your loss. :( I am really attached to my tools too.

My condolences on the loss of your friend.:( Good old reliable friends like that are so hard to come by any more. My husband also mourned the loss of one of his old friends this past summer. His old CP Impact Wrench died of old age last August. It was built in the 1960's and after years of faithful service ' Big Daddy ' lost the will to turn another bolt. Dale was heartbroken. Even though he has since aquired a new impact wrench, the new one just isn't the same as Big Daddy. Big Daddy is now resting comfortly in the bottom of the tool box. Isn't it funny how even after an old tool dies you just can't bring yourself to throw them away?
