I lost one of my closest friends today. we've worked together for nearly 20yrs....r.i.p. It's really going to hard to replace you my good friend.
Sorry for your loss I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend today. It must be so devastating. A sad way to start the New Year. Take care. My condolences to you and the family of your friend. May God give you comfort at this time. My prayers go out to all involved in this loss.
gees. The working conditions are terrible. breathing in all that dust and particles of metal. better start wearing masks for the next 20. Sorry for your loss though. It does happen to the best of us.
I feel your pain ... Yup ... I get attached to old tools too ... still have a 25 year old Black and Decker electric drill that no longer has reverse... Why do I still keep it around? ... I have no idea ... I won't buy any newer B&D stuff though ... it seems like their quality went away in recent years. I have killed far too much of their newer stuff ...
Maybe if you hung out with better friends they would last longer:evilsmile Had to do it after that thread title.
New B&D stuff is junk! The old B&D Industrial is what then turned in to DeWalt and are great tools. Now even some of the DeWalt stuff is junk. Milwaukee still makes good grinders. I have an old B&D electric 1/2" impact that has really served me well. I dread the day it dies. Sorry for your loss. I am really attached to my tools too.
My condolences on the loss of your friend. Good old reliable friends like that are so hard to come by any more. My husband also mourned the loss of one of his old friends this past summer. His old CP Impact Wrench died of old age last August. It was built in the 1960's and after years of faithful service ' Big Daddy ' lost the will to turn another bolt. Dale was heartbroken. Even though he has since aquired a new impact wrench, the new one just isn't the same as Big Daddy. Big Daddy is now resting comfortly in the bottom of the tool box. Isn't it funny how even after an old tool dies you just can't bring yourself to throw them away?
I know what you mean..I have an old electric die grinder that died about 6 yrs ago that still sits in the bottom of my toolbox.
