Car just came out of shop for distributor upgrade (electrical), fuel tank sending unit replacement, electrical work, and steering wheel wiring harness assembly replacement.

Now my car does not start!! I am p/o'd and have no clue why this is happening. I know I had to jump start the car in order to start it. When I did that I let it run in idle for 20 mins. I turned the car off and it did not start again. I tried jump starting and this time the car does not turn on. The lights in the instrument panel come on and then I hear a weird "grind" noise I think. Do I just have a weak battery?

Take the battery in to Checkers or Autozone or another parts store and have them check it. If that's good I'd take it back and have them check it out. Good luck.
