Factory Aluminum Slot tire size

    1973 Maverick Grabber, 347 4V w/F-1X, 1974 Maverick Grabber 302 4V, 1974 Maverick Grabber 302 2V, 1971 Maverick Grabber 302 4V.
    I have some Factory Aluminum Slot wheels (14X6). What is the widest tire I can feasibly put on these. I searched other threads and see where Dan Hines has 215x60x14's on his. Will 225's work?

    Depends on the tire manufacturer. I see most of them have on their website how wide a rim the tire will fit on. Now whether it will then fit the car???? :huh:

    If you are talking purely widest... I have 245/60s on my stock 14x6 rims, out back.
    215/70s up front.

    Mine are actually 215 70's all the way around ... not 60's ...

    I've got 235 60's all the way around on the tan car look great not too much wrap around on the edges.
