Um.....I don't think I want to stick a bolt into a metal hole on my carburator........I don't think it's worth messing up the carburator. And other than bolts I can't think of a way to plug them....
Rubber vacuum fitting plugs are sold in assorted sizes at almost all auto parts stores. Check the "Help!" sections. They are not expensive...
Use a piece of hose that fits and screw a bolt in that not in the metal carb! #3 is a vent overflow no need to block it off.
Does anyone know if plugging up #6 will hurt anything? Because I'm getting tired of having exhaust vented into my engine bay, which then gets vented into my cabin and it really stinks and makes my head hurt
Im not familiar with the I6 but it looks to be a heat riser. Go ahead and plug it...not sure how you can do it. Maybe some tin and a hose clamp?? If it is a heat riser it should be putting out exhaust unless someone punched a hole in it or something. Just guessing.....
i aint theres nothin like drivin a mav with a buzzz just kiddin i'm takin mine in eventually to get the exaust redone cause there is a leak in the pipe right were the shifter comes through the floor
Hmm, I have to rethink my plug idea. I was going to put some hose over it, clamp it down, then plug the end of the hose, but the guys at autozone claim that it probably gets hot enough to melt the rubber. Please guys any ideas would be helpful, I'm really tired of my car smelling like crap.
