I went back to the spot and the old man has managed to sell ALL of the 2dr Comets. ALL OF THEM. He still has a few Mavericks all small bumpers except for a single white 2 dr that appears to be a later model with big ugly bumpers and the much needed 5 lug disc brakes up front but it's missing the rear axle! There is a huge bash in the rear panel too. The 69.5 is still there, the orange/black flat hood Grabber is too. What I may do is buy the two Bobcats and make a car with them. Both are very decent and one was only there because the owner owed the graveyard owner some money. Both "ran when parked". The sheer amount of Pintos there is staggering. At least 30 with maybe half being wagons. He has a couple of flat front Ford vans with one having Cragars and sidepipes! Anyways, old guy sold off all the 2dr Comets including the sweet white 77 I wanted to buy next week. He has a 4 door 77 that was driven there and parked. Owner abandoned it after it ran out of gas in 1989.
Hey Paintank!! Where is this place located?? I might be interested in it if its not too far away since I need all the stuff for a small bumper swap and a grabber rear spoiler!! Let me know will ya?? Scott
Hey Paintank: I have a 1976 Pinto Wagon I am restoring and would LOVE to know if this guy can be a parts source. I am in Texas, so no fear of me "getting there" anytime soon, but can you tell me more? I would not divulge the info if you did not want me to. Pinto parts are pretty tough to find, and I need wagion parts. THANKS! Chris
TOO LATE! TOP SECRET LOCATION. I JUST BOUGHT ALL OF IT. TOUGH S__T KEEPING IT ALL FOR MYSELF JUST KIDDING GUYS...... I could have bought a late pinto wagon in Arizona for peanuts, 2 years ago. You would not beleive the deals I passed on. No storage. Plus was out there just working, and didnt know when Id be home. Makes me almost cry thinking about it. Worse than getting aroused then told no....!
