What a good roller cam for a 92 5.0? Im running a aod trans, and i dont wont to run a stall. I wont it to thump........

yup, they also make some more with various lift and duration combos but i wouldnt go past the 'E' cam with a stock converter
I agree! A cam big enough to hear is going to suck with a stock converter. Your car will very likely be slower.
A stock cam will benefit from an improved converter. It seems to me that to use a bigger cam and keep the stock converter is kinda bass-ackwards. This is why I drive manuals!
Hmmm...first i have heard of the cam being affected by the converter, but it makes sense. Wonder how mine will sound when I finally get the 3000 stall converter... Sounds pretty baddass now with the stock converter.
When idling in gear there will be less "drag" on the engine... so it will sound more like it does when its in park.
Want thump? B303 with 1.7 rockers. Pull the mufflers off and it'll sound like an old radial aircraft engine at idle. And it'll work with a stock converter.
Click on the link in my sig and check my other vids too.My car has a stock 1991 5.0 with a b303 cam, rpm intake and a 650. You should be able to get an idea of how it will sound.The cam pretty much smoothens out by 800-900 rpm.
The problem isn't so much how it sounds as how it will perform. A stock converter is going to flash off idle where a bumpy cam is WEAK. You need some stall so the converter will hit where the cam is making power.
