Anybody running a all round tube car 4-link in their maverick? Looking at choosing 20", or 24" Anyone in this boat please chime in. Thanks. Al
Mine is 24". You lose some floor space. My rear seat is RIGHT against the rear crossmember, but keep in mind that I'm 6'5" and I like the seat way back there.
Hi Mavman, Is yours a 4-link? To me, 24 seems to be the standard. Would like to try 22" we'll see. What tire size you running? By the way, tell your dad I enjoyed the thread he wrote about driving your mav at the track this year. Did he get his car together yet? Regards. Al
Yes mine is 4 link. Wouldn't have it any other way. My tires are Hoosier 31.5-13.5-15 lightweight. They actually measure 32 x 14. The Hoosier 32x14 is a little tighter fitting and a little heavier. The fairmont-no, it's not quite done. We still have to do the rear suspension. My brother is supposed to bring a rear end sometime around Christmas time. So hopefully after the holidays are over we can get a good start on the rear. Looking forward to getting it done! BUT he's been working on the Mustang engine. Motor is done, waiting on transmission parts and then we can stab it back in. We aren't going to make the january race most likely. Mine hasn't been touched other than drain the water. Theoretically I could get it out & have it ready but with all the irons that are in the fire, it probably won't make it.
