On pinks all outtakes the other day I saw 2 Mav's. I saw the gray wheelstanding Maverick, which I believe was posted on here before but towards the end of the episode, They were showing random clips at the track and they showed a bikini chick, and behind her it looked like the rear quarter of dkstucks Mav.

Thats my car, guy beside me had a sponsor with him an they had the scantly clad girls. (so I heard,I never looked)

Broke a strut rod on final trial run, had it fixed but was couple of minutes to late to get back in. Car was running 10.04s an I was in the package if I could've made it in time.

Really enjoyed being there, lots of great racing! Pinks All Out has does wonders for drag racing with the public! Thanks

Yes, that gray Maverick did an awesome wheelstand.
70Prostreet-Where are you in Taylor? I am in south Redford and have a 73 Mav that is stock looking, but running a healthy 421W. What are you running for power?

I live just a block or two past the intersection of Ecorse and Pelham, on Jackson St., the side with the Walgreens on it.

Not running yet but I just bought a 347 for $1,000, plan to put some nice AFR heads on it, and run in the mid-10's. If I can find a place that charges cheap I would like to have the towers shaved and drop in a Cleveland.

Too bad you're not closer. I would shave your towers for you.

If you have a 347 WHY would you want to drop ina clevland??? Don't get me wrong I absolutely love Clevland engines but if I had a 347 I would not take it out or get rid of it in favor of a clevland......

BTW I finally got that episode with the wheel standing Maverick taped on TiVo.. Now I have to figure out how to access my TiVo's hard drive from my home network and copy it up to youtube or something.... There is one clip of that wheelie Mav on the net already but the all Outtakes shows it a helluva lot better...

Well I will run the 347 for a long time probably, but a Cleveland first of all can handle more hp before cracking and second of all I would like my car to be nostalgiac (347 can be hid under a tunnel ram and M/T valve covers along with Dark Ford Blue paint) but still, strokers weren't that popular in the 70's as they are today.

Really? I would be willing to travel to Toledo for that, it's not THAT far.

Just give me a shout after the holidays. That will give me a chance to get my zephyr mobile (haveta redo motor mounts) and get it out of the garage. Then you can give me an exact idea what you want as far as how much of the tower you want removed, and so forth. It would be kinda cool having two mavericks sitting side by side for at least a little while.
