Hey... I'm looking at a Comet but the guy says that he does not have the title, but he DOES have a proof of purchase... Is there a way I would be able to get a title for this vehicle?

He said the Car had been sitting in a field for a while so Im guessing it was just sold to him without a title if it even has one... But Thanks!

    Welcome to the board.

So much of what you need to do depends on what state you live in. Post your location and there is bound to be somebody here that can help you navigate through this.

Some states only require a bill of sale for a car that old. Make sure before you get it though or you may be stuck with a car you can't license.:)
