Well Sunday i will be going to the last swap meet of the year up here in the frozen North with my now 11 year old daughter Samantha (yes she loves this stuff) and my bud Larry Winter to see what we can see. The swap meet is indoors and the building is massive so who knows what i may find- a Grabber hood or 5 would be a nice start, some newly rechromed bumpers would be good, a parts car or 2 dirt cheap would be nice, and a box of mint trim (not that kind of trim you silly wabbit) would be fine. And i'm hoping for all this and more for dirt cheap, am i being silly here or what? I will let everyone know tomorrow how it all worked out. And hey i'll get to spend some time with my birthday Maverick girl as she just turned eleven on Saturday.:thumbs2::bouncy:

Hey here's the scoop on the swap meet, it was not a bad size swap meet, very very busy, in fact it was packed. I missed my friend Larry and as it was so packed he could have been in the next row and i may have not seen him. The only Maverick or Comet parts were a dented Maverick gas cap (a newer one), and a Comet name plate which my cool daughter found. I bought a January 1971 Hot Rod magazine with "Ohio" George Montgomery's super-trick gasser/altered Maverick on the cover, very cool and it cost me a whole $2. I also bought some spare dash plaques from the shows that i went to this past summer which i will give to my daughter as that's who usually goes with me. I also picked up a few other non car things that i was looking for for the past few years. Though there was not that much stuff for me it got me out of the house and to one last swap meet for the year so that was cool.(y):drive::bouncy:

To bad you didn't find anything but even if you didn't get anything a day out with your daughter, as the saying goes......... priceless.:dancing:

My 16 yr old daughter is into the whole show/meet thing also, she even goes to the salvage yards with me.:thumbs2:

Yeah my daughter is pretty cool when it comes to old cars and swap meets, i love it and i only hope that when she is 15 or 16 she is still interested in all this. I think the boys thing will come into the picture by then and Daddy will become a sorta GEEK , but Daddy still has a baseball bat for the young fella as a way of saying,"Take care of my little girl"- Hey i'm just kidding.:dizzy:o_O Nice to see you guys bring the kids too.(y)
