Yesterday I got my 75 Mav 4 door out of the tranny shop after major rebuild. When I left the shop I noticed a serious vibration as I took off and when it shifted from low to second it got worse. Back in the shop we could feel it on the lift. I told the shop owner since the only rotating part changed was the torque convertor it must be out of balance so he ordered another convertor and gave me a ride home. Today I hope it is well when it comes out of the tranny hospital. Texasjack
If by any chance you still have it I would try to rotate the driveshaft. Sometimes they have to go back in the same way they came out. I've never had a problem, but I've heard of some others on here that have. Hopefully it is gone with the TC change.
75 Tranny shop Thanks for the tip on the drive shaft. I will call Steve and tell him. He does the tranny work for my car lot. Texasjack
I just typed driveshaft in the search function here and this popped up. There may be more. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=46001&highlight=driveshaft .Good luck.
when I installed the locker in my rearend the instructions said to make sure to mark the drive shaft orientation and put it back the way it came out..??? I did and didn't have any problems.
