Ummm... yeah, just go to the website and look around. They have a contact link there. You can do it all from the site. Shop for headers, get the part number, get the price, and then either email them or copy down the phone number from the site.
hi, AGAIN thanks again the last message you send me didnt get in all ,now it is ok , i got that web site, sorry for the inconvinience Regards Gino
Do they still make port plates for the 4 Barrel Cleveland? They block the weird bottom dead area on the exhaust side and effectively raise the port and massivly increase velocity and flow. They have plates for the intake side too. Can't remember who sells them but my friend ran them on his race Cleveland and it was a fearsome car. 11.40s on motor. 10.50s on the juice. Used to run it to 8000 RPM and it sounded like the end of the world. I have a set of 71 closed chamber heads somewhere.
Call crites or email them @tbolt@bright.net E-mail Address(es): tbolt@bright.net Do it soon as they are doing a run for this specific setup right now. I would know as I was the one who got this all started and have two sets coming in the next week or so. One for my soon to be 408w in my 72 comet, and one for my 63 351w fairlane. But get on it quick as i'm not sure how long they will do this for.
Hi, man thanks a lot for your advice, i am in contact with them and waiting for the shipping cost, so you got a set from them right. Is it true that you do not have to modify the car engine bay on maverick.Comet has same engine bay as maverick too? So you have a 408 windsor in it.This engine is the same size as the 351 w? I think you got a missile then.See you
I am actually waiting for my headers right now but everything I have heard on this forum about the headers has been 100% positive. They are supposed to fit with no modification, however I don't think it would be able to service the plugs without cutting the shock towers. The 408w is a 351w stroked and poked. I am in the process of installing it right now, I am going to cut the shock towers, and I will have to wait to see how it runs next year. It will be getting on the dyno this winter so at least I will have some numbers to post. Some time early after new years......I hope.
Actually you don't have to change any of the susupension. Just make sure you don't cut too low so the upper "A" arm doesn't hit the plate you will weld in. Make sure you support the front end to keep it from flexing. I am not sure if this step is absolutely necessary however I wouldn't take the chance. I am however having a tough time with the fact that I will be destroying my paint job. I will take some pictures as I go along.
Hi thanks if you can send me some pictures of your engine bay as is, and during the job , this is my personal email cargino@onvol.net
