    my 71 maverick is leaking some kind of liquid off the 5th spark plug(2nd to last)...what could this be and how can i fix it...???:huh:

    is it coming out of the spark plug hole or from above it (Valve cover)

    what does the fluid look like? the 5th spark plug is the second one from the front on the drivers side.

    from inside the spark plug hole...
    it kind of looks like oil...yes its the second one from the front on the driver side..i forgot to mention its 200 ci straight six

    If the spark plug is tight there should be no fluid coming out of it. I'd try a different plug and see if it still leaks. Also lots of times a leak from the valve cover gasket seeps down to the plug hole and looks like it's coming out of the hole.:)

    ya my votes for valve cover gasket

    oil leaks out and just pools up around the spark plug.

    if you had that much oil in the cylinders thered be a big cloud of smoke comming out the tail pipe
