hello! i've got some problem with my turning signal lights since i bought the car. I decided today to fix them. Here are the symptoms: 1) lights are flashing to fast (way to fast) 2) the left turning light stay on "off" position sometimes after i turn the left turning signal "off": the front light is "off" and the light on the dash board stays "on" The second problem appears only when the head lights are "on". I changed my flasher... nothing. A fuse? A bad contact somewhere? Any idea where to look at? thanks guys!
Flashing to fast is generally a bulb out or a problem with the wiring on the light. After checking the bulbs I would check the grounds.
Sounds like you have a shorted wire. Remove the bulbs and see if it still flashes... If it flashes with the bulbs out then you have a shorted wire. If it doesn't flash then put in the right bulbs and see if it will flash when you switch to right turn. If it flashes normally then install the left bulbs and check to see if it flashes normally on the left turn switch. If it flashes normally it may have been a bulb that was just inserted wrong. If one side flashes fast then that is the side that is bad. If they both flash fast then it is either a weak flasher unit or a shorted switch.
ok.. i'm gonna do all those tests and i'll tell you what i find. if it's a short wire i suppose it's gonna be a big pain to find where?
