Right now on my mav as far as i know im the second owner and it has the original stock suspension which i do not like its too wobbly. I have a 75 v6 coupe. I want something tighter i guess something like racing suspension so it can handle nicer and take on turns better and all. I have no knowledge on suspension so any help would be great. Not lookin for something to expensive also. let me know guys thanks alot!

The cheapest way out is rebuild your stock suspension. The safest thing to do is use quality name brand parts. Using cheap mickey mouse parts will not last long and you be doing the job again in the near future. You get what you pay for. Relocating the upper control arm (Shelby Drop) will give a bit more "racecar feel".

i suspect the bigest reason your suspension feels wobbly is because the shocks are either worn out or just lousy shocks. up grade those first. get a good quality brand like kyb, bilistien, or koni. the next inexpensive up grade you can do is replace the end link bushings on your sway bar with polyurithane ones. this will give you a noitceable difference in the wobbly feeling.
there are lots of topics on this fourm about upgrading suspension, try the search feature, read and study your opitons. decide what you want the car to do, like drag race, or road race, or just handle beter while you drive it daily, then make the changes that will suit your needs.

One of the biggest improvements I made to reduce body roll was urethane bushings in the leaf springs. Combine those with the Lift Bars (traction bars) and the rear end is tight. I don't have the front sway bar hooked up but when I did the urethane end links and sway bar frame bushings helped alot. I also have the KYB gas adjust shocks and they ride real nice. Wider tires will also help. Have fun with it.

If you look at it the 6 cylinders form a straight line hence the Inline or I6(straight 6).
On a V6 looking at it from the front the cylinders form a V shape 3 cylinders on each side.

if you look at this picture you can see all 6 spark plugs are in a row[IMG]
It is just one I pulled from the web, "this is a throttle body Fuel Injected ( webber TBI's ), turbocharged 250 CI Ford I6, it features the new Classic inlines Aluminum head ( a prototype, there not yet released, will be soon tho ) which was designed of the OZ250 2V head, it produces 500 HP.".......Ironically i found this pic on a hot rodders forum they were talking about if they should put an V6 or a V8 in a 50 chevy and they came up with this....http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/v6-v8-50chevy-99885.html

this is what a v6 looks like (minus valve covers intake ect.)

Really you shouldn't feel retarded. It is good that you are learning,
it is sad to say in this day and age how many people are even incapable of doing simple things to their cars like changing their oil.

Your maverick is a good start on a project and with good care and maintenance it will last you another 30+ years
