lightweight front disk?

    Is there anyone manufacturing lightweight front disk brakes [calipers]for mavericks? thanks

    Aerospace Components , Mark Williams Enterprises, Wilwood......

    You have to buy the whole setup (disc,brackets,pads,calipers), I don't know of anyone that just makes an aluminum caliper that will bolt up.

    I looked at the web sites and did not see listing for a mav/com. I will give them a call.

    Yep, none of them are on the websites....you have to call.....I've only personally owned a set of Aerospace for a Mav/Comet.

    you just order it for a 69 mustang. i have a willwood kit on mine. i orded it for a 65 mustang and found out that the bearings are different. they went to biger bearings later so try a 69.

    I have granada disk up front now, do yall think it would be easier to get the oe drum spindles and order the front brake kit for it? thanks

    you can even sell the granada brakes to help offset cost and get the drum spindels

    I used a Strange Eng. kit on my race car - '74 drum brake spindles. They don't list a kit but a bearing swap is all that you need to make it work. Use their 67-69 Mustang/66-69 Falcon-Fairlane part #B4134WC.

    Only small issue is that they use a GM bolt pattern; 5x4.75". No problem if you have dual pattern rims such as Weld Draglite etc.(y)

    make sure you get the right rotors for your intended usage. if your car is a pure drag race car and will only see runs on the track, then you will get the steel rotors, if your car is a street driven car then make sure you get cast iron rotors. im pretty sure the strage kits only come with steel rotors. willwood offers both.
