    Hi my name is garon and i have a 1970 maverick and i am painting it black i have had it four years and i was the origional yellow with black stripes. But i have a problem the person i got it from bought it at an auction and never got the title and it sat in a feild for 5 years until i got it but now it runs good and is looking better than ever. I need some tips on how to get that title. PLEASE HELP :hmmm:

    So, you and your friend been taking care (storing) this Maverick for 5 years? I would think it cost alot of money to store/care (keep it from the weather). Hope that would have some worth if you can't get the title from current holder. MAV-ON :)

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    You should contact your local DMV and see what is necessary to re-title/register the car in your name.As long as it wasnt stolen or use for som nefarious purpose and your state has such a program/ policy it should only put you out some cash and a little time.Good luck...
