i just got a new set of leafs for my 70 mav asked for springs for a 75 with a 302 .. they showed up with 3 leafs on one spring and 4leafs on the other spring . is this right? and if so wich side does the 4 leafs go on ? or does it even matter...my originals had 3 leafs on each side but it was also an inline 6

But who really wants there Maverick to stand up on it's nose?? Terribly unsafe to "jack it up" in the rear!! To each his own I guess......

I'd say you would be fine adding leafs to an old set, you can buy a new dowel if the old one is too short......
