5 Speed Tranny

    Hi Guys!
    Need a little help.
    Has anyone tried to put a 5 seed tranny behind a 250 on a maverick?
    I just got me one fairly Cheap and I'm wondering
    to convert an automatic to stick and althoug I have most parts for it to happen I need to seek your expertice in this topic.

    You will need an adapter which can be bought from any Mustang supply house. I had to modify the tunnel for clearance but some have said they didn't. I had to modify the transmission mount. And lastly, you may have to shorten the drive shaft.

    1971 Maverick Grabber 98 DOHC Cobra engine w/5speed, 1974 Pinto 2.0 4speed daily driver.
    You only need the adapter if your using the old style 3 speed manual bellhousing with the z-bar and stock linkage the 5 speed case. If you use the T-5 bell housing it will bolt right up, but you will have to use a cable for the clutch. I also had to modify the tranny tunnel to get the 5 speed to fit and sit right.
