Are there any Maverick hoods that would fit a 73 comet or are they completely different in all years of production?
71-77 comet hoodas are all the same 70-77 maverick hoods are all the same but to put one hood on a diffrent car you also need to change out the grill and the latch. on 70-72 cars you'll need to swap the bumper too to finish the look. atleast on the front end
Thanks, It seems that Comet hoods in good shape up in my neck of the woods are extremely hard to come by. Maverick hoods seem to be everywhere. Has anyone done the Maverick to Comet hood swap? If so, could you share pictures please?
the hood bolts to the same holes and the grill and latch bracket bolt to the same holes too. really wouldnt consider it the least bit challenging. aside from getting an extra set of hands to hold the hood
