Can someone give me a step by step to remove rear axle. I removed passenger rear wheel. I then got a socket and took off the 4 nuts behind the wheel studs. I thought I could pull the axle out, it wont budge, what am I doing wrong?

    you are doing great...so far.
what has happened is the ...bearing...is stuck in the housing.
there are a few ways to address this...
i have put the rim back on, replace two lugnuts...(just a couple of threads).
snatch the rim and the bearing should come loose...(y)

Sounds like a good idea. You dont have to remove the brakes or anything do you? Should I concern my self with jerking the rim so hard that the car falls of the jack stands? Do I need to disconnect a brake line or anything?

just snap the rim...do not pull on the car...
the backing plate will be left hanging...

You can use the brake drum as a slide hammer also. If this doesn't work...rent an axle puller at AutoZone or Advance and get your money back when returning the tool
