Looking to pick some up and was wondering what they are worth. Being new to the Maverick parts world sometimes it is tough to judge if the price on some of this stuff is worth it or not.

if they're the correct ones for the high backs, they usually go for around $150 for the tracks

I have a set of tracks out of a 72 with high backs. They are tracks only.

It is the seats and the seat brackets. I am actually picking up another Maverick. It has straight and rust free front and rear bumpers, straight and rust free flat hood, Straight and rust free trunk, and it also has the bucket seats. I am going to use a door off of it as well. It also has sport mirrors on both sides. It is 1970 2 door.

1970 Mavericks were not available with buckets .... they may not be Maverick buckets and/or tracks in there ..

Maybe it's not a 70. Make sure of what the first number of the vin# is. That is the year of the car. Good luck.:)

I just got back from looking at the car and the seats were not Maverick bucket seats. We ended up passing on the car. Pictures and the real thing always look different.:(

How much was it? Might have been good for a parts car.

Here are some pictures of some high back bucket seats that I have found in a pull yard in Colorado. Is there anything I should look for before buy them. I know that the foam is brittle and will need to be changed. I believe Autokrafters sells the foam? I was planning on reupolstering them anyway.

The foam on the 73 & 74 buckets is molded to the the seat back frame, I pulled a set apart so I could see how it compared to the Mustang seat frames. I can post some pictures, I never found any to compare mine to.

Do you know if there is any way to replace or repair the foam in a 73 bucket seat? Autokrafter shows there seat foam as 71-73 high back buckets but from the research on here I believe they are wrong and the seat foam will only work on 71-72 buckets.

I think I finally did something right today with the maverick. I picked up the bucket seats if not for the seats but the high back seat brackets. One thing I have found searching on here is the lack of pictures. For a beginner like me it is nice to see the difference in parts before you go looking for them. My brain is taking in so much information researching a reading posts on here to make sure I get the right parts it reminds me of when I was actually in school having to study.

By the way what is that wire on the bottom of the seat that goes to a strip along the bottom of the seat?

That wire is connected to a switch [the long strip under the seat] that activated the seat belt lock out on 74 and I think some 75 model cars. If there was any weight on the seat, the car wouldn't crank unless the seat belt for that seat was fastened. Most of them got bypassed over the years. You can discard it when you reupholster the seats.

    I've had a few
Some 72's and all 73's had it also. My '72 has the seat belt light in the middle of the dash for it, and a '73 4 door I recently bought still has the whole system in fully functional order. If you try to start the car without your belt on, the FASTEN SEAT BELTS light lights up and a buzzer under the dash buzzes when you turn the key to try to start the car. If you take your seat belt off while driving down the road, the buzzer and light stay on continuously until you put your belt back on.
