I have found a 59 Ford 4dr car and a 59 ford station wagon. I can get them for scrap price because they have been sitting for many years. Did all these cars come with a 9 inch that will go under a maverick? If so about what is a rearend worth. I pla on using one in the maverick and the other in the TR7
you may find the rear frame rails to be a little bit diffrent with the wagon and if so the mounting points of the rear may be diffrent as well you should be good on the 4 door though i'd imagien a rear like that be worth a solid $3-400 but i could be off
I will try to get them next weekend. The 4 dr car should be pretty easy but the wagon will be a job to get it. There is a tree about 2ft thick in front of it. All of these have been setting probaly 30 years. There is also a 57 ford truck, 46 ford 1 1/2 ton. He has a car with a 351c 4v but he wanted $1000 for it. There is also some old falcons and a 66 mustang convertible.
If the 66 mustang convertible has the rear windows and regulators, I need them for my Mav convertible project. It was the main hold up the last time I worked on it. Also need the door glass if its still there.
the mustang was not for sale. It wasn't any count though. If you need anything off the 59's just tell me
I agree... I've had a 9" in my '72 Grabber since '74. I pulled it out of a '57 Country Squire Wagon. It was a popular swap for early Mustangs and Mavericks back then. It had a 3.89 gear in it when I pulled it. The wagon also had the big bearing and big brakes, though non-self adjusting unfortunately. Sits on the leaf springs just like the 8". '57 thru '59 are the narrowest factory 9 inch... thought, If I remember right, just slightly wider overall than the Maverick 8 inch. Good luck...
