What are the differences between the '71-'72 vintage Grabber Grills and Sportlamps vs. the later model Mavericks that featured this configuration? My old '72 Grabber Grill was black and the later model grills are mostly silver. Different material or design? In Ohio, you don't get to see many Mavericks on the road and the boneyards typically reply to parts inquires with
same grilles, different color. as stated, grabber grilles are black in color and when ford started using them in all the cars in '73 they changed them to grey/silver. in '76 they started using the black ones in all models but has a silver trim to it, but it's the same grille all around, just different color arrangements and different color/style lights depending on yrs. hope this helps
It sure does. I've missed my '72 Grabber since the day I sold it back in '75. It's the only car I've ever owned that I wanted back and I'm comitted to reproducing the car. The problem is in Ohio, most of them went into the crusher two decades ago.
ya, if you put clear lamps into a later model grill you pretty much have a grabber grill just have to wire it right
