I just took brand new pix. How many can we post at a time? Most came out good, but the sunlight on one makes my rear bumper look like it has blue paint on it. Does anyone know how to get that off (the photo, not the car)?

This is interesting. I'm not sure I believe it, because there's so much false crap being spread on the Internet these days. I read some of the discussion, and it's true that more companies are requiring approval or a fee for using product images. University of Phoenix doesn't allow teachers or students to post articles from magazines or pictures, because they might be violating copyright laws.

Even the City of San Ramon, which operates the park where I took my Maverick's photos, asked if the calendar would be offered for sale. I said it was just for collectors and only about 100 are being produced and the cost is to cover expenses. So I was given permission to use Forest Home Farm for my background shots. Otherwise I would have been charged a fee (not a lot, maybe $50, but after being soaked on my A/C I don't have anymore money to burn!).

So did the Mustang club get their calendar, or did Ford prevent it? Or were they required to kick in a % of the sales?

I used to be a consultant and trainer on a business intelligence software called Crystal Reports. The company was sold three or four times in the last five years. After Business Objects bought Crystal Decisions, they claimed that screenshots of their program were their intellectual property and required anyone producing training materials to get permission to use them. To me this was inane, since as trainers we promoted the use of their software, but they wanted to keep all the training in house or get a kickback from independent trainers. I worked for one of the big freelance Crystal training companies for a couple of years, but it wasn't even worth their while to continue paying a big annual fee and 100% markup on their own training manuals. This is killing the small training businesses.

Actually Ford did the right thing. They got their calendars and we'll get ours.

BTW, CafePress might actually be an economical way to do this.

Well this is a big difference. CafePress seems to be responsible for the whole flap. Read the second reply by Learethak. I don't think we should go with CafePress. Why resell calendars online? I thought these are just for us on the Maverick board anyway.

Yeah, just a spur of the moment idea, in case they might be cheaper and of good quality. You don't have to resell anything to the public when you have CafePress print something. I've actually only used them to make one-off t-shirts and baby clothes for my family, and it was cheap.
