Tony. He's been trying to sell that one for quite a while. One place he had it listed with the Vin#. I seem to recall that it is NOT a real Grabber. Vin had a 91 in it instead of a 93. Nice looking car, especially if it's not a Grabber and he'll come down on the price because of it.:)

We have discussed this car before. It was on ebay I believe. NOT a true Grabber.....but still a nice car.

even if it were real the price does seem a little on the high side

    good luck though

might be an issue of a lost title and a swapped in vin from a standard maverick or some BS like that

just make sure you do your home work and bring out the fine tooth comb before handing up that kinda money

    good luck

Well, you can make it look like a real Grabber, paint the lower body below the stripe black, remove the wheel lip moldings. I saw a 318 'Cuda convertable rebuilt to a Hemi 'Cuda convertable "tribuite" It sold for $80,000. I have noticed that any Maverick on the show field with a "Grabber" hood is misunderstood as a Maverick Grabber by most spectators especially young people.

    I've had a few
I just emailed him for the VIN.

If you go look at it, the third, fourth and fifth numbers in the VIN will be 93F if it's a true V8 Grabber. So the VIN would be something like 4K93F100000

Dash is not painted partially black....so that is a dead giveaway that it is not a Grabber. I still remember it being a really nice car.

my 74 didnt have a black dash, here is a picture of it back in 1981.
I had the car repainted and didnt have stripes put back on but it was a true grabber.

Hey guys, thanks tons. I explained to my father that this is most likely not a Grabber and probably not worth quite that much. He's going to go to check out a Pontiac instead later on this week. Once again guys, thanks for sharing all your valuable knowledge!

Orange interior cars are the exception, as Orange interior was a "Grabber Only" color on Maverick.

Hmmmmm......maybe orange interior cars didn't have the black paint. I wonder what other colors didn't have black on the dash??

Heres a nice Orange interior shot, no black dash, but a black dashpad.
