I ordered my z bar from auto krafters they only had one. I,m glad I called today, they also had the ball socket to go with it less than 4 bucks.
Now all I need is a 302 to attach it to!!.

I'm bringing the mav home next week, I hope I can figure out picture posting by then.

Now that you got the hard parts the 302 should be easier to come by. Looking forward to the pics.:D

I didn't know, it's not in the book as far as i can tell. I just asked for the heck of it. But I think I still need the bracket it go's on. In my Chilton book it looks like a bracket that mounts to the back of the block or bell housing.

I hope the frame part is on the car....
I will post pic when I receive it.
In the new AK book it list the engine side bracket, I need it also but I didn't see it until after I ordered.

I'm sure I know the answer, but will the mustang frame bracket work?

The 302 Maverick didn't use an engine side bracket only the threaded ball stud. There is an aftermarket bracket that is for late model 302 blocks that is not machined for the ball stud.

That got me thinking, does anyone have a pic of ALL the clutch parts and also a pic of them installed? It seems most people are getting parts from various sources and then trying to assemble them into a working system without a decent reference. :)

Update, I got my z-bar from auto krafters today.
The bar looks good, the part they said was a pivot ball for 4 bucks is the press on bushing for the frame bracket...

So the hunt is on for a v8 pivot ball. And I think the frame side bracket I have is a mustang one. So I will be needing it as well....

Mustangs Unlimited Sells these bushings which I have seen in person and compared to Maverich Bushings and should work fine on the V8 Engine Side mount .... The factory ones were white not black. They should work on the Frame Side 250 Mount as well (shown below is 250 bar and frame mount) ...

dm, the bushing they sent me is just like the white one in your picture.
    Only mine is black....

And I'm betting the parts in those pics. are Not For Sale!!!!
and if they are I'll bet $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$....

I'm starting to think cable conversion

Buy the way my new grabber is suppose to look just like yours except a black vinyl top

Having a tough time finding V8 clutch parts? That is the exact predicament I want to avoid if something on my car ever brakes ... that's why I have a spare of every part of the mechanical clutch linkage ... so Nope ... none of it's for sale .. it's my spare parts stash .... ;)

The parts come up on eBay several times a year .... be willing to bid high ... but if you need them ... you need them ...

Another alternative may be to use 302 Mustang repop mounts. You will need to fabricate some sort of insert to be put into both ends of the Maverick z-bar which has a larger diameter than 302 Mustang parts. Then when you have the smaller diameter opening on each side Mustang parts will work.
