How much of my dash do I need to remove to replace the ingnition switch on one of 76 Stallions? Should I remove the instrumnets is that easier? Thanks Frank
Actually the ignition switch is on the steering column. So you can take the column loose from the dash and drop it down far enough to get to the switch.
Do you need to replace the cylinder? I thought it was just a matter of removing the steering wheel, and the turn signal switch, insert the key, and push a pin in the cylinder, and the whole thing will pull out. But I could be wrong..
No the cylinder is fine and activates the arm but it is the switch that has gone bad sometimes when I shut the key off the car is still RUNNING ! I will look at droping the steering column
Thanks Scrapper60 I dropped the column and replaced the switch, now the White Stallion is running again and ready to go to the paint shop !
