Jerry, Mike and Jim was there. Jim is a really cool dude and had a real clean cougar. Jerry brought the stallion, real nice original cool car. Mike brought his comet with EFI, what a super cool car he is building! Here some pics, enjoy!
That interior pic is very interesting. Thanks for sharing and glad you guys got a chance to get together. Jack

It was great to meet Jim and Mike and always nice to see John. Lots of nice cars at the cruise in! Mike is building one great little comet! Jim has some very nice cars. He brought photos of everything he has and is working on. That Cougar is killer! The A/C is Dealer add on air. I have the paper work that came with it from the Dealer. The best thing is it actually works! I recharged it with 134a and it gets cool. (Starting to throw a little out the front of the compressor though). Great to see other Maverick'ers!! (Thanks for posting photos John. Being on Dial up here at the house its kind of hard to post anything). Thanks Jerry
It's always great to put faces with the voices. John, Jerry, and Mike are a great bunch of guys to be around. I wish I lived closer. This turned out to be a wonderful trip. I got to meet a lot of super people, get my Pizza King and White Castle fixes, attend a fantastic car show on Sat, and have a very nice family gathering, too. There were a couple of Comets at the show on Sat, one of which was an especially nice original GT. It was a 2 owner, gold/ginger combo. The owner may come aboard here soon. Nice fellow. I did not get to meet the other guy. Absolutely the best trip up here I have had. Thanks, guys, for coming over to the cruise. We'll have to do it again next year. Great meeting all of you. I'm off at 5 am back to Fl. I understand a hurricane may be greeting me when I get back home. We will see. Jim
Well, I am finally home and unpacked. When I was in the Louisville area, I got some bad gas at the Marathon staion on Grantline Rd by IUS that kept my carb going crazy. My nephew, who owns 2 gas station/convenient stores in E-town, says the gas in L-ville is "reformulated" for the area pollution. Anyway, my gas came with trash and my car started running ragid as soon as the gas went in the tank. I tried to run it out of the tank but the trash must have been stuck in the carb. Every time I came to a light, I had to put it in neutral with one foot on the brake and one on the gas. I ran into very little rain except a 15 minute monsoon while I was getting gas in Perry, Fl. I came back down through Alabama, getting over to 231 below Montgomery and into the old roads down 27 into Fl. I get to my driveway and it dies. I had to tow it into the property with the Explorer. It at least got me home. It is lightly raining now so I will check out the problem later. For you Alabama boys, I saw a '75 Comet Gt at a small car lot inTroy, Ala. Red with a black interior, factory a/c, 302/auto, buckets. No one was around to ask how much, so if anyone lives nearby, go check it out. It was a really great trip, nearly 1800 miles. Thanks again for coming over on Friday. Jim
