Went to the all ford yellow rose car show Saturday, they had it all , counted 13 pantaras, several sunbean tigers, shelbys, cougers ,torinos, a couple 61 sunliners, roush, bullits, falcons, a whole section of fairlanes, pickups, a great show BUT only one Maverick! It was Franks stallion, Frank, I hung around on Sat from @ 12:30 to @ 2, sorry I missed meeting you, I had my Maverick shirt on and several people thought the Maverick was mine! I did drive mine to the show ,was kinda nervous because I was parked a ways from the entrance and with only 4 bolts holding the grabber hood it wouldn't take a thief long! I voted for the Maverick, hope you won! :thumbs2:

I didnt know your car had a grabber hood. I would have come out with my pickup and the hood liberation crew.

I went to the show on Saturday with the family as well, glad you posted about it. GREAT selection of Fords of all makes (no Pintos ), and I was elated to see the single Maverick in the Stallion "red" scheme. First I have ever seen up front and close.

Get those Mavericks out there, Texans!! TOO many Mustangs!!

By the way, Qicvick, as I was driving into the lot (about 1 PM), I saw your yellow Maverick parked at the far North end, and wondered whose it was! When I left the show, you were gone - I made a point to swing by you and check out the car, but it was too late.

grabbergt, that is what I worry about going to swapmeets or anywhere the car would be left alone, wonder if allen head bolts on the hindges would slow a thief down ?
popbumper, wished I could have met you, I had a shirt on with a big yellow maverick on it

Sorry I missed you guys I had gone home to nap a little I had been there Thursday night all day Friday and Saturday before the doors opened. I had 3 Mavericks there last year maybe we can get some for next year ( I am trying to finish my white sided Stallion ) My car won it's class ( only car in it) but it was grouped with the Falcons for the best of category and it won best Falcon/Comet/Maverick Hope to meet with you guys for the Texas mini-meet

I hung around the stallion awhile and enjoyed hearing the coments of folks about it, I wondered if it would be grouped with the Falcons.

Part of the reason it is with the Falcons is I also had a Falcon in the show and my Dad had the Econoline pick-up there. I have been a participant in the Yellow Rose since the 1st one always with a Falcon or Galaxie in the past and belong to the Falcon Club. I did enjoy the Maverick beating the Falcons so I can kid my buddies about it.
