i need some paint help too, code 3J?

    my door tag says "Paint: 3J"

    is "3J" "bright blue met" what color it still is?

    i know its been repainted at some point along with the silver also being added but i need to repaint the pas side fender

    yea, i know that was the original color and even though its still blue im trying to find out if its still that blue or if it was repainted a diffrent blue

    Look in the trunk, or around door jams. Maybe pull up the sill plate or some carpet. Somewhere the original color is there. That color chart looks darker than actual colors.

    Take you car to a good body shop supply wholesaler, and have them scan the blue thats on there now. To me it looks lighter, but that could be just the picture, if the cars been painted for awhile, buying paint of the original code (even if it that color) won't match very well.

    Like Dennis says. Ya gotta look for areas that have not been repainted to get the correct color.

    However, that said, based on the age of the repaint and it's condition, you may never match the repainted areas. Buy a gallon of paint, prep the rest of the car and paint the entire car the color you want.
