I know summit sells one. I bought it. I was going to put one on the mav when it had a 250. With a 250 you might have hood clearance issues
yes they do. There is an article on here in the tech articles that talks about this. here it is http://www.maverick.to/mmb/showthread.php?t=36020
They might have an adapter for this, but I'd be surprised myself. The aftermarket adapters I have seen were for a different type of 2v carb. That doesn't mean they don't make one though. I figured for sure that this particular adapter would have to be fabbed (aka home made). Edit: The adapter and carb in the link above is NOT an Autolite/Motorcraft 2v carb. These have a totally different mounting flange.
okay thanks for the help guys.. imma go look in all the auto parts places... do u fellas think autozone would have the adapter.?
You can get an adapter from most places. The hard part is that you have to mill the log manifold on the head to get a flat spot large enough to mount the adapter (it is a two barrel to two barrel adapter) then bore the existing hole in the manifold to accept the two barrel. I have never seen a ford 2 bbl to 1 bbl adapter that would work. It would have to be too high to clear the hood.
