    Still thrashing tonight!!!

Well.....went out to the garage and saw a puddle under my car. AC was leaking. Drove 20 minutes over to the mechanics house at 7:30pm. Had to remove a hose, reweld a fitting on the new hose (retro fitting the new hoses and the sanden compressor required a little "restomodding"), re-installed the hose and charged it back up again. Got home about 9:30pm. Loaded up the car and I am ready to leave in the morning. Shew!! Just in time!!

    Destination Complete!!!

Well......I made it. Drove thru 5 states...1121 total miles round trip. I got 17.85 mpg driving 70 mph and with the AC on. I still think I can do better. My next item will be to find a better carb (thanks to the suggestion of PaulS. He was a big help in trouble-shooting this carb) because even though I have rebuilt this carb (twice)....it is junk.

Plus...I was the ONLY 4-door at the Roundup. Come on guys...we can't part them all out!!!

Here I am at a rest area in West Virginia where the family stopped for a picnic on the way home.

Oh yeah.......the cruise control worked flawlessly. With the AC, Cruise control, power steering, and power disc brakes...I definitely didn't feel like I was driving a 30+ year old car. When I had my 1970 Grabber (manual steering, drum brakes, NO AC, NO cruise control) when I got to my destination...I was worn out!!!
