I'm trying to take the rear leafs off. But the bottom bolt seems to not want to come out. What is a trick to getting these off?

Car is a '75 Maverick if it matters.

Is it loose, just not coming out of the bushing?

If so try a strong screw driver, another bolt, etc, and use it to stick in the bushing to contact the stubborn bolt. Then tap on it w/ a hammer to try and push it out

Yeah its just stuck in the bushing. Will try that. Any other ideas if it doesn't work?

Just be careful.... You do know the leaf springs will fly up and smash the "frame" if your not very careful.

Id try what I mentioned, that's how I did it on my Comet when I was messing around w/ them.

    Yup :rofl2:

We ended up getting them out, after having to cut the bolts. It looks like someone messed with the bushing so the bolt wasn't sliding out.

Yea, might as well replace those anyways while you were messing with it

Yeah it'll get fixed. I took out the 8in to swap it over in the '70 instead of the 7.5in.

Just have to sandblast and paint it, and get a posi/gears
