Didn't see the price. Had bumpers removed. Body looked decent. I was going by at 50 mph and traffic was bad, or I would have taken pics and got the price and phone number. Maroon, in a small used car lot on hwy 146, just south of Kemah area. It was right at the front of the lot, so you cannot miss it.
Drove back by it on the way home, and snapped some shots from the road. Not sure what is in it, etc. There are a couple of phone numbers visible to call for more details.
Betcha don't have to worry on anyone stealing them wheels!!! That Maverick needs a good home!!! seems a bit pricey from roadside shopping
If I wasn't so damned busy getting caught up after a week off work, I would call the number and ask what is under the hood... You never know. It might be a keeper!
I talked to Rolandag today, he lives within throwing distance of that car, and has seen it a couple of times. He says it has rust in all the typical places, and still sports the I-6... So, seems like a NO-SALE car to me... Sorry I didn't stop and take a closer look before I posted this. I was in a hurry and it looked fine from the road...
Looks like a great thread to tag off of, since I have found no less than FOUR Mavericks in and around Dallas in the last two days. And MAN, it's HOT out in that sun. Mav #1 - ALSO $2500 (steep) 1970 w/6 cylinder, gold paint/grey? interior, last titled 2007, was told is running:
Great, I attached the pics.....here they are again: Sorry, never mind, I can't attach pics even though everything is set to >sigh<
looks like fresh(er) paint, but the big rust hole in the hood definatly scares me. wonder where the bondo is ready to fall off next?
Deja vu........I made a thread about this same thing..... http://www.maverick.to/mmb/showthread.php?t=45776&highlight=Maverick+sale
