Just thought I would say hello and introduce myself. I'm Dan and currently reside in Middle, TN. I just aquired a 1963 Merc Comet Sportster Custom. The car in a factory 260 V8 4 speed. It's not running at this time since I got it as an incomplete project. It currently has a 302 HO engine in it (partially) and an AOD tranny. Fortunately I got it with both the original 260 and 4 speed. I'm new to Ford (always been a Chevy guy) but have nothing against any make of car, especially if it's old. I've always loved the look of the Falcons and Comets, so when I got an opportunity to pick up this Comet I couldn't resist. I'm looking forward to getting this project underway in a few weeks and I'm sure I'll be picking your brains for some blue oval information. I'm not new to cars since I've been a hot rodder the better part of 40 years mostly on Chevies and lately in the sport compact scene, but my Ford knowledge is limited. Looks like a great community here and I hope to become an active member for time to come. - Dano
