Thanks Pete for doing this, this car is tight now no wallowing over little bumps or big ones. Petes right pics don't do this color justice, in the sun it just pops out at you, few more things to do this year and I'll be happy, might save the bucket seat upgrade till next year. Again Thanks alot Pete, it's nice to have a fellow Mav owner close by.

    Those look good.
Did you have the jack stands under the suspension and the car leveled front to back and side to side?

Did you guys meet from the board, or were you already Mav buddies? You are only the second person I have ever heard use the word "cattywampus".

Sumbody needs to make this type for a Maverick. I have these on my 'cuda it looks like a full frame car. uses the floor as the 4rth side of the box, heavier gauge than the frame.

    here they are installed

I have a custom job in my mav thats tied to the roll bar, Sits very high, I will try to get you a pic of that later.

Yes car was square and level, jack stands were under suspension to keep car at proper ride heidght. Its the only way to do em right.(or use a drive on frame stand)
Fish out of water... those connectors look very elaborate.I wouldnt want to install them laying on my back!!!Who makes those???mopars have to have a set up like that due to the torsional
stresses involved with the front end torsion bar mount set up.
    installed pic no workie???
Yes we met through the board.Pm/e-mail back and forth about various things. Then Mike invited me to go to Carlisle with him and his brother.Had a great time, scored some choice parts for our cars.mikes a great guy(thanks for letting me tag along to carlisle mike!!!)and the rest is history.Aint this a great forum??!!

    Pete,
I enjoyed spending the day talking to your father, while you were getting dirty, Don't know how many people on here know but Pete's dad worked at the Ford Stamping plant in Buffalo, stamped out peices to probably all our Mavs in this group, The man's got a lot of knowledge and I was more than willing to listen. Pete remember Fall Carlisle coming up!!

OK, see it now? Yes, it isnt easy to install, You have to push it against the contours of the floor and mark and grind off material and repeat until all gaps are closed, then weld an inch at a time moving all around to avoid warping the floor. Its made by U.S. Cartool. I had these installed by a proffesional race car fab shop. He was impressed with the product, and though he said they were a pain to install, but he thought the final product was worth the trouble.

Yep, this sure is a great forum, if you guys were closer, I would be hangin out with you too. I am in NY too

Yeah...I guess it would be a little better than drivin a Camaro.
LOL... Brian knows how I feel about his cars. Mopars have always been my second choice of cars. And I never claimed to be the smartest guy out there either. The smart guys have Hemi Cudas sittin in the garage right now.
