Its that time of year again to hold the 5th annual Virtual Car Show (VCS). All participants in the VCS will have their car(s) judged by other forum members who will vote for their favourite car in each category. The members with the top 3 votes of each category will get a VCS trophy that will go under their username. Instead of using the photo gallery to submit your entry, a 2008 Virtual Car Show forum with the different categories has been setup to accept entries. By using the forum to submit your entry, you will be able to add as many pictures as you like by either uploading them directly to the thread or by linking to them directly from the gallery. As always, you are limited to 1 entry per category, but can participate in more than one category. The categories for the show are the same as last year, but if there are not enough cars submitted for a category, I will merge two categories together. If a category has too many entries, l'll split it up(Maverick/Comet, big bumper/small bumper, etc). STOCK Cars that have original style paint, with minor cosmetic changes. These include scoops, spoliers, wheels, engine chrome, steering wheels and gauges. SEMI MODIFIED Cars with seat changes, carb, ignition, exhaust, roll bars, etc MODIFIED Cars with transmission changes, engine swaps, bodywork and custom paint, suspension, EFI, roller cam conversion, Cal-Tracs, custom interior, aluminum radiator, etc RACING Cars setup for the track FOREIGN Any Maverick built outside of the USA and Canada. If an owner lives outside of the Americas and owns a North American built Maverick/Comet, they can enter in this category as well. ENTRY RULES -Only members with 10 posts or more can participate in the 2008 VCS. -Entries are to be submitted in the appropriate sub forum of the 2008 Virtual Car Show forum. -You can include as many pictures of your car as you like, however picture must be of your own vehicle that you currently own. -Must include a short description of the vehicle, including all modifications that were made. -You may include a link to your webpage that contains more pictures and/or an in depth description of your car. -Voting will take place shortly after the March 21, 2008 entry closing date and the winners will be determined by the most amount of votes. -Limit one entry per category per car, but you can enter in as many categories as you like if you own more than one car(submit each entry separately). -All decisions I make regarding this car show and entries are FINAL. -Any sort of cheating will automatically disqualify your entry(s). You have until March 21, 2008 to submit your entries in the 2008 Virtual Car Show forum. Please be sure to enter your car(s) in the correct category(s).
