Hello from Riverside

    Ran into several other Mavericks at the Rotary "Show and Go" car show this weekend (May 3rd) in Riverside CA and they introduced me to the site.

    My name is Steve Mains and I have a 1970 (1969 1/2) Maverick. VIN number is 104713, so I am assuming it was one of the first ones made.

    I purchased the car in 1972 when I went off to college. Turned out I was the third owner (Ford would not transfer the original warranty to me).

    I had the car restored and engine rebuilt in 2006 when it hit 200,000 miles. Like to say I still have me first car and first wife.
