    Did any Mavericks or Comets come with hood hinges that had springs in them? I have never seen them on our cars before:huh:

    I guess you should know Craig. The reason I was asking is because there are some for sale on Ebay that are supposed to fit a Maverick.

    I bet those are mustang repops, said to fit a maverick. Search and you should find a discussion on these.

    Our hoods are not reinforced to handle those springs when closing the hood. You will end up bending the hood.

    If they have springs on them, they are probably Granada. I think I saw the same ad the other day. Definitely not Maverick hinges if it's the same one.

    There was someone on here that was reinforcing the hood side channels so that they could use the Mustang hinges, never heard how that went.
