Hi all. I am so bad on these things, I hope I am in the right place to post this.

I guess you remember me asking a few weeks ago about whether my junk four-door fenders would fit my Sprint.

Well, saved the head, fenders, radiator, and a pile of other parts, but then discovered that this car (1974 four-door) has front disk brakes.

Never knew before, because it was I towed it to my house and put it in my barn for a few years.

I know this was covered a while back, but don't recollect much about it. How much change is necessary to put those front disks on my 72 Sprint? My drums stop good, but head disks were even better. I don't have a booster on my 72 either. I do remember I would have to make a pedal change where the holes are.

    Just was curious.

Thanks in advance for any information on the above.

    Jack

Is the 74 POWER Disc brakes?? If not I don't think you need to change anything with the pedal or master cyl or anything like that.

If they are Power disc brakes and you want to put them on the Sprint I am 90% sure that the mastercyl. and the pedal and the whole 9 yard will unbolt from the 74 and bolt right up to the 72 Sprint, just a matter of taking the parts off of one car and bolting them on the other

If the brakes are not power or if they are the stuff will bolt right up to your 72.Use the brake proportioning valve from the 74 as well.If they are power brakes then the pedal stroke is different, you could just take the brake pedal from the 74 as well and mount it in your 72.Some of the cars actually have both hole locations on the peadal so check yours to be sure. You may need to get adapter fittings to mount the front brake hoses to your 72's hard lines so keep the fittings from the 74 too so you can match em up.Good luck.

Hi all. Just want to thank DaMadman and Mavman for your information. I will take them off tomorrow and later put them on my 72.

Thanks again, and all have a nice day.
