Yes mine was my 72 maverick I bought it when I was 12 years old from a little old lady in Conyers Goergia. It had 28,000 miles on when I got. Paid $1500 for it. So I have had it now for 13 years.
Yep. My father bought it new in 1970, first new car they bought! I sorta bought it, inherited it in high school. I6 200cid, sophmore year dad said no to a camaro(thanks dad) so the Maverick became our project. Came to respect my father a lot during that winter/summer (remember your dad in high school?) Was and still is a great experience. he still comes up to turn a wrench with me and he LOVED hos Maverick calender!
Yep, my 77 was my first car. It was my wife's car first, but I did eventually get my name on the title.
Yep!! I have had mine for over 4 years now!! Cost me $1500 dollars. It originally had a 200 and C-4. It now has a 302 and a C-4. I love it!! Here is my baby--
My first car was a sixty something VW Karman ghia, I hated that car. My dad found it for $700 we fixed it up and sold it for $2000. Traided up to a 72 pinto that car was alot of fun. It was also the start of my modifing habbit.
id love to see what you did with that pinto... my 69.5 mav was my ninth car in a matter of 3 years, i started driving legally in 96, my first car was a 68 chevy panel truck (even though it was a chevy i still sort of miss it) i don't usually tear cars up, i just buy when i come across what i think to be a deal, plus im a bit eccentric. i have to drive something different. most of the time i buy a car i know what i want it to look like when its done (like they ever get near that far lol) the mavericks are the only ones that i cant get a clear picture in my head of what i want them to be, i think that's why i am hanging on to them more then some of my other stuff..
Mine was a 55 ford crown vic in 1971 which I still own BUT my daughter's first was the 72 grabber i still own. We bought it for her on her 16th birthday in 92. I got it back in 95 when she left for college in her new ranger
My 1973 Mercury Comet was my first car. Bought it in 10th grade for 400 bucks from my older brother. Fixed it up during HS with my dad. I will never sell this car.
MaverickGrabber that was such an emotional story. mine was a lincoln. dont know the year i hated it and drove it into a tree at age 14. i now have a 90 crown vic but heres the part youll love and hate. The first car i bought was a 74 4 door mav yet sadly shes being scrapped and sold to fix a 69.5 maverick. if yall need something off the 74 pm me
My mav is the 12th car i have bought, even though it is the first road worthy car i bought and the only one i have it is not licenced or insured yet. But the only other car i have that is liscened is my 75 Cheerokee witch isn't quite road worthy, but on the road any way. litteraly it's on the side of the road without a tranny!!!!! LOL :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman
My first car is my '73 Maverick. My mom bought it new and gave it to me when I started driving. Will have it the rest of my life. It is a part of the family.
Hey Rusty, Nice car. I really like the look of those Ranger wheels. What size are they? Were they ever available in 15x7" ??...
First car I really worked on and used as mine but was not mine was a 56 Chevy 2dr sedan of my Grandmothers, fixed the body and painted it when I was 12. For a 12 year old it looked pretty good and was a major improvement over its formal self. My real first car was my 72 grabber, which I traded in on my Stallion. Dan
